Tarzan: The Epic Adventures(1996)

Tarzan: The Epic Adventures is a syndicated series set in the formative years of Edgar Rice Burroughs' iconic jungle hero, after his first encounter with civilization but before his marriage to Jane. The show draws heavily from Burroughs' source material and positions itself between the events of The Return of Tarzan, with the antagonist Nicholas Rokoff driving much of the conflict. Filmed on location at South Africa's Sun City resort, the series stands out as one of the rare Tarzan productions actually shot on the African continent. The show aired for a single season, though its pilot script was adapted into an authorized Tarzan novel by R. A. Salvatore, published in both trade and mass-market editions in the mid-1990s.
