Kissyfur(1988)

Kissyfur is an animated children's series that debuted on NBC in the 1980s. The show follows Gus and Kissyfur, a father-and-son bear duo who escape a circus train derailment and settle in the swamps of Paddlecab County. There, the bears build a new life running a boat tour business while protecting their swamp neighbors from two bumbling alligators, Floyd and Jolene. Using skills learned in the circus, Gus and Kissyfur transport other animals and goods down the river, turning their misfortune into opportunity. The series ran for two seasons and was produced by Jean Chalopin and Andy Heyward for DIC, following a successful prime-time special that introduced the characters to audiences.
