Nozomi in the Sun is a Japanese drama series that follows two girls whose destinies are forever altered by a vengeful act. Born on the same day in the same hospital, one baby is switched with the other by a nurse seeking revenge, sending the aristocratic child to the slums and the poor girl into wealth. Years later, the girls' lives remain entangled—the now-privileged Miki mistreats the struggling Nozomi, unaware of the truth that binds them. Despite their vastly different circumstances and the cruelty between them, both harbour an identical dream: to become singers. The series explores how fate, class, and hidden connections shape their journeys toward that shared aspiration.
