La Academia(2002)

La Academia is a Mexican reality talent competition that debuted on Azteca in June 2002 and has run for ten seasons. The show follows an elimination-based format similar to global talent franchises, though it operates independently. In its early years, La Academia dominated its time slot, outperforming Televisa's competing show Operación Triunfo Mexico, which lasted only one season. More recently, viewership has declined as the series faces competition from the Mexican version of The Voice. The format has been adapted internationally across Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United States, Paraguay, Singapore, Thailand, and Central America, establishing La Academia as a successful regional entertainment export.
