Dennou Keisatsu Cybercop is a Japanese tokusatsu series that aired from October 1988 to July 1989. Created by Toho Enterprises, the show attempted to blend Super Sentai conventions with cyberpunk aesthetics and futuristic police action. The series followed a team of high-tech law enforcement officers battling crime in a digital age. Despite initial ambitions, the concept shifted after an unaired pilot episode, moving away from its original Super Sentai framework. The show broadcast on NTV during its nine-month run, capturing the late-1980s fascination with technology and tokusatsu spectacle. Though short-lived, Cybercop remains a curious artifact of Japanese genre television's experimental period.
