Mavro Rodo is a Greek drama series centered on Sister Elizabeth, a nun who survived childhood meningitis and entered monastic life as a result. When an earthquake damages her monastery near Ioannina, the abbess sends her home to her village to wait for repairs. There, at a party thrown by her step-sister, Elizabeth meets a young man who falls deeply in love with her and pursues her back to the monastery. Torn between her vows and newfound passion, Elizabeth faces an impossible choice: honor her commitment to God or follow her heart. The series explores faith, desire, and the sacrifices demanded by devotion through this central conflict.
