Sumo Do, Sumo Don't is a Japanese comedy series following Ryota Moriyama, a Kyoritsu University senior facing an unexpected obstacle to graduation. After his girlfriend dumps him just as he secures a job offer at a prestigious company, his professor strikes a deal: join the struggling sumo club and compete in at least one match. With only one dedicated member, Honoka Oba, keeping the club alive for two years, Ryota must endure brutal training and recruit enough wrestlers to field a competitive team. As he navigates the ancient sport's demands and builds camaraderie with misfits and underdogs, Ryota discovers that sumo offers far more than a path to his diploma.
