Acro Trip(2024)

Acro Trip is an anime series following Chizuko, an otaku living in Niigata Prefecture who's obsessed with Berry Blossom, a magical heroine protecting her city. When Berry's battles against her clumsy nemesis Chroma become disappointingly dull, Chizuko's frustration grows. Desperate to witness Berry's true power, the seemingly timid girl takes a dark turn, setting herself on a collision course with the hero she once admired. The series blends comedy with an unexpectedly sinister edge as Chizuko's obsession transforms her into something far more dangerous. What begins as fandom spirals into a twisted exploration of how devotion can corrupt, mixing magical girl tropes with darker psychological territory.
