Little Bird is a drama series following Bezhig, an Indigenous girl forcibly removed from her Saskatchewan home as part of the Sixties Scoop—a devastating Canadian government assimilation policy. Adopted into a Montreal Jewish family at five, she becomes Esther Rosenblum and grows up caught between two worlds. Now in her twenties, Esther embarks on a determined search to reconnect with her biological family and reclaim her identity, willing to risk her adopted life in the process. The series explores themes of cultural displacement, belonging, and the long shadow of institutional racism on Indigenous communities.
