The Wolvis Family
The Wolvis Family(1991)
The Wolvis Family is a British comedy-drama that revisits a household five years after their cheerful appearance on the quiz show Ask the Family. Their teenage son Stuart, formerly bubbly and talkative, has fallen silent. Family therapist Dr Graham Wilcockson proposes an unconventional solution: conducting their therapy sessions on live television. The family agrees to the experiment, but genuine cooperation proves far more complicated than anyone anticipated. The series explores the tension between public performance and private struggle, as the Wolvises navigate Stuart's withdrawal and their own family dynamics under the scrutiny of cameras. What begins as a therapeutic exercise becomes a darkly comic examination of how families present themselves to the world and what lies beneath the surface.
