Tides of Change(2001)

Tides of Change is an Italian period drama following nobleman Franco Maironi as he navigates love and social convention on the shores of Lake Lugano. When Franco falls for Luisa, a woman from the bourgeois class, he faces a choice between honoring his aristocratic standing and pursuing his heart. As a passionate patriot caught between personal desire and family duty, Franco must decide whether love is worth defying the rigid class boundaries of his time. The series explores themes of romance, ambition, and the tension between individual will and societal expectation in 19th-century Italy.
