Pansion in the Mansion is a Latvian miniseries set in the 1920s, following a writer's family who inherit a crumbling remote estate and must decide its fate. The writer Anšlavs Eglītis, his brother Vidvuds, father Viktors, and stepmother Hilda Vīka undertake the ambitious restoration of the property while opening a boarding house. What begins as a practical venture becomes a vibrant social hub, drawing city visitors, local intellectuals, and the neighbourhood's most colourful characters. Across eight episodes, the family navigates comic mishaps, unexpected guests, and the lingering ghosts of the estate's past. The series blends humour with the period's cultural richness, capturing a pivotal moment in Latvian history through the lens of one household's chaotic summer.
