Lei Yu is a Chinese drama set in 1920s Tianjin, following the Zhou family as they navigate financial ruin and emotional upheaval. When patriarch Zhou Pu Yuan vanishes after the Jiangqiao incident, housekeeper Lu Gui brings his son Zhou Ping from Wuxi to salvage the family estate. As Zhou Ping prepares to sell the mansion to cover mounting debts, his father returns with a new wife, Fan Yi, who becomes instrumental in resolving their crisis. Her intervention draws the young couple closer, yet their complicated family dynamics prevent them from acknowledging their growing attraction.
