The Kastner Trial(1994)

The Kastner Trial is a three-part courtroom drama series examining one of Israel's most divisive historical moments. In 1944, Dr Yisrael Kastner negotiated the release of 1,685 Hungarian Jews from Budapest, a feat that saved thousands of lives. Ten years later, he faced accusations of Nazi collaboration and was assassinated. The series reconstructs the 1954–55 trial proceedings while exploring the private struggles of those involved, drawing on court records and firsthand accounts.
