Celebrity Love Island(2005)

Celebrity Love Island is a British reality television series that marooned twelve single celebrities on a Fiji island for five weeks. Viewers voted for couples to enter the "love shack" to develop romantic connections, with the winning pair claiming a £50,000 prize. The first series (2005) saw viewers eliminate contestants weekly, while the second (2006) handed that power to the islanders themselves. Season two also required inhabitants to cook and clean, countering accusations of a free holiday. Patrick Kielty and Kelly Brook hosted the first series, with Fearne Cotton joining for the second. The show aired on ITV and was cancelled in November 2006. Jayne Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave won the inaugural season; Bianca Gascoigne and Calum Best took the second.
