Iron Road(2009)

Iron Road is a historical drama series following Little Tiger, a young Chinese girl who travels from a fireworks factory to the Canadian Rockies in search of her missing father. Drawn by tales of "Gum San"—Gold Mountain—she joins thousands of Chinese workers building the transcontinental railroad. The grueling labor demands blasting through mountains, and Little Tiger quickly discovers that fortune comes only to the few while death claims many. Facing treachery, prejudice, and brutal working conditions, she must rely on her intelligence and resolve to find her father and honor those who perish alongside her. The series explores themes of survival, resilience, and the hidden human cost of building a nation's infrastructure.
