Dead Like Me is a dark comedy series about George Lass, a cynical eighteen-year-old whose life ends abruptly when she's hit by a toilet seat falling from a space station. Rather than moving on to the afterlife, she's recruited into a secret team of grim reapers tasked with intercepting human souls before they die traumatic deaths. George and her fellow reapers must inhabit the bodies of the recently deceased to complete their assignments, all while navigating the strange rules of their new existence. The show blends supernatural comedy with genuine emotion as George discovers that death isn't an ending but a strange new beginning, complete with office politics, moral dilemmas, and unexpected friendships among the undead.
