My Dress-Up Darling is a romantic comedy series following Wakana Gojo, a shy high school student devoted to crafting traditional hina dolls. His solitary hobby isolates him from classmates until Marin Kitagawa, a popular girl with a secret otaku passion, discovers his talent and asks him to make cosplay costumes. Reluctant at first, Wakana agrees and discovers Marin's infectious enthusiasm for her favorite characters.
