Palm Sunday(2009)

Palm Sunday is a 1970s Soviet drama centered on a collision between privilege and justice. Artur Nikitin, grandson of a Politburo member and accustomed to getting everything he wants, becomes obsessed with Oksana Lepina, a talented young ballerina. When gifts and seduction fail, he assaults her. Rather than accept threats or intimidation from his powerful family, Oksana files a formal complaint with the prosecutor's office, risking her career and reputation to pursue accountability. The series explores the moral courage required to challenge corruption and abuse within a system designed to protect the powerful.
