Our Homeland(2025)

Our Homeland is a historical series set in 1937 China, following Communist organizer Zhuang Qifeng as he works under Zhou Mi's leadership to mobilize peasants against oppression. Facing the Japanese puppet regime, Zhuang rallies rural communities to reduce rents and form armed resistance groups. The narrative traces how grassroots organizing and collective action lay the groundwork for eventual military victory, blending intimate personal struggles with the larger sweep of wartime upheaval. The series captures a pivotal moment when underground movements transformed scattered villages into a unified force, exploring themes of sacrifice, solidarity, and the human cost of revolution during one of China's most turbulent periods.
