Shining Tears X Wind is a Japanese anime series that adapts the PlayStation 2 games Shining Tears and Shining Wind. Directed by Hiroshi Watanabe and produced by Studio Deen, the show retells Shining Wind's narrative through the eyes of protagonist Souma. The twelve-episode series aired in Japan from April to June 2007, blending action and fantasy elements with music borrowed directly from the original games. The anime explores Souma's journey as he becomes entangled in a conflict that threatens his world, drawing players and anime fans alike into its interconnected universe. Following the show's success, a mobile sequel titled Shining Wind X launched in early 2008, expanding the franchise further.
