Kurozuka(2008)

Kurozuka is an anime series that spans feudal Japan and a distant, dystopian future. When Kurou and his servant Benkei flee from Kurou's newly crowned brother, they seek refuge in a mysterious house belonging to a woman named Kuromitsu. After drinking her blood to survive a fatal wound, Kurou gains immortality and strange powers—but is seemingly killed, only to awaken centuries later in a ruined world. The Red Army, an omnipresent force obsessed with Kuromitsu's immortal blood, still hunts her relentlessly. Caught between the Red Army and rebel forces fighting to stop them, Kurou embarks on a dangerous quest to reunite with Kuromitsu and exact his revenge. Dark, supernatural, and driven by obsession, the series weaves together past and future in a tale of immortality and vengeance.
