Sound of the Sky is an anime series set in the tranquil town of Seize, where the 1121st platoon of the Helvetian army maintains an uneasy watch along the border with the Roman Empire. When spirited recruit Kanata Sorami joins the unit at Clocktower Fortress, her dream of mastering the bugle brings her under the mentorship of Sergeant Major Rio Kazumiya, a skilled trumpeter. Alongside the aloof mechanic Noël Kannagi, fierce gunner Kureha Suminoya, and compassionate Captain Felicia Heideman, Kanata discovers the quiet beauty of life in a town caught between peace and conflict. As military tensions simmer, the platoon finds unexpected joy and resilience through music and friendship, celebrating the bonds that sustain them in a world slowly unraveling around them.
