Secret History of Princess Taiping is a Chinese historical fiction series that reimagines the life of Wu Zetian's firstborn daughter. In this alternate account, the princess survives childhood and later assumes the identity of her younger sister, Princess Taiping, to exact revenge on her mother—the only female emperor in Chinese history—and claim the throne for herself. Directed by Lee Hon-to and Zhou Min, the series traces the protagonist across three life stages through performances by Alyssa Chia, Zheng Shuang, and Lin Miaoke.
