The Following is a psychological thriller series centered on the escape of Joe Carroll, a literature professor convicted of murdering 14 female students at a Virginia college. After breaking out of death row, Carroll launches a coordinated killing spree that forces the FBI to recruit Ryan Hardy, the former agent who captured him years earlier. Hardy rejoins the bureau alongside agents Mike Weston and Debra Parker to unravel Carroll's expanding network of followers and stop his escalating violence. As the investigation deepens, the team discovers Carroll has cultivated a devoted cult of murderers willing to carry out his twisted vision, turning the case into a race against time to prevent further bloodshed.
