Fame Academy(2002)

Fame Academy is a British televised talent competition that discovers and trains emerging musical artists. Winners received a £1 million recording contract with a major label, a luxury London apartment, and a sports car for one year. Broadcast by the BBC and produced by Endemol's Initial, the show ran for two series, crowned David Sneddon champion in the first and Alex Parks in the second. The format proved so popular that the BBC launched Comic Relief Does Fame Academy from 2003, featuring celebrities as students with voting proceeds benefiting the charity. That spin-off became significantly more successful than the original competition, and many credit it with securing the show's renewal for a second series.
