Kamo, Kyoto e Iku is a Japanese drama series following Ueba Kamo, a Tokyo University graduate and career bureaucrat at the Ministry of Finance. When her mother, owner of the traditional inn Ueba-ya in Kyoto, dies unexpectedly, Kamo inherits the struggling hotel and must abandon her government post to run it. Thrust into unfamiliar territory with a demanding staff and mounting debts, she partners with Kinugawa Shuhei, a shrewd and cold financier with unexpected warmth. Together they attempt to revive the historic inn while navigating the clash between Kamo's corporate mindset and the demands of hospitality.
