The Severing Crime Edge is a dark fantasy anime series centered on cursed murder weapons passed down through families, compelled to repeat their original killings. Kiri Haimura owns a pair of indestructible shears meant to kill, but he uses them only to cut hair. His life changes when he meets Iwai Mushanokoji, a girl whose hair regrows each night and whose murder would grant any wish to her killer. Every day, Kiri cuts her hair and shields her from those seeking her death for their own desires. As their bond deepens, the series explores the tension between curse and choice, protection and temptation, weaving together supernatural horror with an unlikely romance amid constant danger.
