Children of the Dust(1995)

Children of the Dust is a western series following gunfighter and bounty hunter Gypsy Smith as he navigates the violent aftermath of a cavalry raid on a Cheyenne camp. The massacre leaves young White Wolf as one of few survivors, and Gypsy brings him to the Maxwell family to raise. Years later, Gypsy returns leading Black settlers from the post-Civil War South to establish Freedom, Oklahoma Territory's first Black settlement. White Wolf, now called Corby and caught between two worlds, finds himself at the center of colliding communities and loyalties. As the past resurfaces through conflict and violence, the series explores themes of identity, survival, and the cost of building new lives in the untamed frontier. Tensions escalate toward a reckoning that tests every character's resolve.
