Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons is an anime series that follows First Princess Angelise, a privileged member of the Misurugi Empire who discovers she is a "Norma"—a human unable to use Mana, the technology that has eliminated war, hunger, and pollution from society. Branded an outcast, Angelise is exiled to a remote island where she encounters other Normas and learns to pilot Para-mails, humanoid weapons designed to defend humanity against dragons invading from another dimension. The series blends mecha action with themes of prejudice and redemption as Angelise transforms from sheltered royalty into a soldier fighting to protect a world that has rejected her.
