Deadbeat follows Kevin Pacalioglu, a broke and directionless New Yorker who discovers he can see dead people. Saddled with a constant stream of demanding spirits, Pac takes the path of least resistance to help ghosts resolve their unfinished business—often with minimal effort and maximum chaos. His unlikely partner in these supernatural misadventures is Roofie, his best friend and drug dealer. The series blends dark comedy with paranormal mystery as Pac navigates the absurd demands of New York's most frivolous hauntings. Between lazy problem-solving and reluctant heroics, Deadbeat explores what it means to be stuck between the living and the dead, where the stakes are low but the laughs are high.
