Goedenavond dames en heren is a Dutch drama series set in 1950s Hilversum. Anton and Els van Dijk run a hair salon, and their daughters Ietje and Eef are invited by Anton's brother Peter—a broadcasting director—to audition for television presenter roles. While one daughter embraces this new world, the other faces personal tragedy. Peter seizes the moment to celebrate his network's 250,000 connections and attempts to reunite Benno and Wil, a once-famous singing duo he managed years ago. His ambitions to revive their careers and correct past mistakes set off a chain of upheaval across multiple lives. As Ietje and Eef make unconventional choices, the family must navigate the consequences of their decisions in an era when television was reshaping Dutch society.
