Tatau(2015)

Tatau is a British supernatural thriller following Kyle and Budgie, two London friends on a round-the-world adventure. Before departing, Kyle gets a Maori-style tattoo to mark their destination: the Cook Islands. While snorkeling in a lagoon, Kyle discovers the body of a local girl, Aumea, bound underwater. When police return to the site, the corpse vanishes. Convinced of what he witnessed, Kyle becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth, dragging Budgie into an unsettling spiral of Maori mythology, cryptic symbols, and hallucinatory visions. As reality blurs, the dark significance of Kyle's tattoo gradually emerges, transforming a holiday into a descent into something far more sinister and inexplicable.
