Der Trotzkopf(1983)

Der Trotzkopf is a German period series set in late 19th century Germany, following Ilse Macket, a spirited and headstrong girl whose wild temperament exasperates her father and stepmother. Unable to manage her outbursts at home, they enroll her in a strict boarding school for girls. Initially resistant to the rigid routines and alienated from her more refined classmates, Ilse gradually finds her footing with the help of a compassionate headmistress. As she learns to temper her fiery nature, she forms meaningful friendships and discovers romance alongside her schoolmates. The series traces Ilse's transformation through her formative years, culminating in her wedding day.
