SHIROBAKO(2014)

Shirobako is a series following five animation club friends who pledge to create an anime together while still in school in northeastern Japan. After completing their first project for a cultural fair, the group graduates but remains committed to their dream of making anime as professionals. The series chronicles their individual journeys through the animation industry—from storyboarding and character design to voice acting and post-production—as they navigate the challenges of bringing their vision to life. Each character pursues a different role within the creative process, revealing both the technical artistry and human struggles behind anime production. Shirobako captures the passion, setbacks, and small victories that define the lives of those dedicated to the craft.
