High School Fleet is an anime series set in a future Japan where rising sea levels have transformed the nation into a network of marine cities. To protect these new waterways and territories, an elite naval force called the Blue Mermaids was established, drawing talented women from across the country. Childhood friends Akeno Misaki and Moeka China enroll at a marine high school in Yokosuka alongside other ambitious girls determined to join the ranks. As they train together, the cadets face rigorous challenges that test their seamanship, leadership, and bonds of friendship. The series follows their journey from eager recruits to capable sailors, blending school-life drama with maritime adventure and the camaraderie of young women pursuing their shared dream on the open water.
