The Mick is a comedy series following Mackenzie "Mickey" Murphy, a hard-living, cigarette-smoking woman who relocates to affluent Greenwich, Connecticut to raise her wealthy sister's spoiled children after the sister flees the country to escape federal indictment. Crude and no-nonsense, Mickey discovers what many already suspect: raising other people's kids is a nightmare. The show mines comedy from the clash between her rough-around-the-edges parenting style and the privileged world of Greenwich's elite families. As Mickey attempts to impose discipline on her bratty charges, she navigates their entitled attitudes, her own financial struggles, and the culture shock of suburban wealth.
