Speechless follows Maya DiMeo, a fiercely protective mother determined to advocate for her family at any cost. When her eldest son JJ, who has cerebral palsy and cannot speak, needs a communication aide, Maya launches into her mission with characteristic intensity—battling school systems, social services, and anyone else who stands in her way. Alongside her husband Jimmy and younger kids Ray and Dylan, Maya navigates the messy reality of raising a child with special needs while searching for the right person to help JJ find his voice.
