The Visitors(1980)

The Visitors follows two alien detectives sent by the Empire of the Four Planets to investigate the disappearance of six extraterrestrials studying Earth. To continue their search, they inhabit the bodies of a dying Frenchman and a German woman, resurrecting them in the process.
