Major 2nd is an anime series following Shigeno Daigo, an elementary school student whose father is a professional baseball player. Inspired by his dad's Major League career, Daigo joins the Mifune Dolphins youth team but quits after struggling under the pressure of his family name. Years later, in sixth grade, a transfer student named Sato Hikaru arrives—his father is also a former Major League player and Daigo's dad's close friend. The two boys' lives intersect as they navigate baseball, friendship, and the weight of their fathers' legacies. Major 2nd explores themes of ambition, redemption, and finding your own path in the sport.
