Magical Emi, the Magic Star(1985)

Magical Emi, the Magic Star is a magical girl anime following Kazuki Mai, an elementary schoolgirl whose magic skills fall short of her grandparents' professional standards. When a mysterious light emerges from a heart-shaped mirror, Mai meets Topo, a mirror fairy who inhabits her beloved flying squirrel plush toy. Topo grants Mai a magical bracelet adorned with the four card suits, which transforms into a bubble wand. Using this wand, Mai becomes Magical Emi, an 18-year-old magician who uses her newfound powers to help those in need and finally prove herself worthy of performing in her grandparents' magic troupe. The series blends whimsical transformation sequences with heartfelt moments as Mai discovers that true magic lies in helping others.
