The Jay Leno Show(2009)

The Jay Leno Show is an American late-night comedy series that aired for just four months in 2009–2010. After stepping back from The Tonight Show, Leno launched this primetime talk show in September 2009, featuring celebrity interviews and comedy sketches. The venture quickly became controversial when NBC's affiliates complained about its impact on local newscasts. By January 2010, the network announced plans to move Leno to the 11:35 p.m. slot—the historic home of The Tonight Show—which triggered a public standoff with Conan O'Brien, who refused to accept a later timeslot. NBC settled with O'Brien for $45 million, and Leno returned to The Tonight Show in March 2010. The Jay Leno Show ended in February after becoming one of television's most notorious failures, widely panned by critics and audiences alike.
