Tangled Hearts follows six young people navigating ambition, love, and belonging after leaving their orphanage home in Cape Verde. Amora, Bento, and Fabio were raised together by Gilson and Selma before taking separate paths: Amora was adopted by actress Barbara Ellen and became a vain, celebrated model and socialite; Fabio found his way with a struggling rural family; and Bento stayed close to home, working as a florist in a cooperative with his foster parents and childhood friend Giane, who harbors secret feelings for him. Amora's adoptive sister Malú, a grounded university student, struggles under Barbara Ellen's cold rejection. As the six pursue their dreams and search for meaningful connection, their intertwined lives reveal how far they'll go for love and acceptance.
