End of Part One(1979)

End of Part One is a British comedy sketch series written by David Renwick and Andrew Marshall for London Weekend Television. Broadcast on ITV across two series from 1979 to 1980, it adapted the irreverent spirit of the radio show The Burkiss Way for television. The first series follows Norman and Vera Straightman as their everyday lives are constantly derailed by appearances from famous TV personalities of the era. The second series shifts focus entirely to satirical parodies of popular television programs, including Larry Grayson's Generation Game and the magazine show Nationwide. The show's rapid-fire sketches and absurdist humor made it a distinctive entry in British comedy during the late 1970s.
