Just An Encore(2019)

Just An Encore is a coming-of-age series following Yan Ze, a high school student caught in an unspoken love triangle with her classmate Ji Xiaowei and her best friend Xi Ye. Yan Ze harbors a secret crush on Xiaowei while wrestling with insecurity, convinced that the beautiful and accomplished Xi Ye outshines her in every way. What neither girl realizes is that Xi Ye battles her own doubts, quietly envying qualities she sees in Yan Ze. As their carefully constructed facades crack, hidden feelings surface and force both friends to confront uncomfortable truths about themselves, each other, and the boy who unknowingly stands at the center of their emotional turmoil. The series explores the messy reality of teenage friendships, where admiration and resentment coexist, and where what we assume about others rarely matches what they actually feel.
