Finding Her Voice(2019)

Finding Her Voice is a Hong Kong drama following Pak Tsin-ngam, a retired school principal who returns from Canada to his hometown. Drawn by haunting memories of sopranos whose voices linger in his mind, he revisits the redeveloped Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate to track down the singers. When Tsin-ngam and his friends finally locate them, they discover the men have been worn down by life into disillusioned middle-aged versions of themselves. The film explores themes of nostalgia and lost youth as the group attempts to reclaim their former glory and return to the stage. It's a poignant examination of how time and circumstance reshape dreams and identities, set against the backdrop of Hong Kong's changing landscape.
