Dignity(2019)

Dignity is a drama series following Leo Ramírez, a young federal prosecutor determined to dismantle Colonia Dignidad, a brutal German cult that operated a secret compound in Chile. For decades, the cult tortured and killed prisoners while abusing children behind closed doors. With dictator Augusto Pinochet's regime finally ended, Ramírez pursues the cult's leader, Paul Schaefer, through a legal system still fragile from years of authoritarian rule. The series examines the cost of accountability in a nation reckoning with systematic violence and the courage required to prosecute those who hid in plain sight. Based on true events, Dignity explores how justice emerges from darkness when ordinary people refuse to let crimes remain buried.
