Flikken(1999)

Flikken is a Flemish-Belgian police drama that aired from 1999 to 2009, following a team of six officers in Ghent as they investigate everything from petty theft to organized crime. The series balanced procedural realism with personal drama, grounding its storytelling in authentic policework while exploring the lives of its characters. Only two actors, Mark Tijsmans and Ludo Hellinx, remained with the show across all ten seasons. Produced by VRT and broadcast on Belgian public channel Eén and Dutch broadcaster TROS, Flikken became a cultural phenomenon in both countries, regularly drawing 1.8 million viewers.
