Interceptor(1989)

Interceptor is a British game show that aired on ITV in summer 1989, created by Jacques Antoine, Jean Jacques Pasquier and Malcolm Heyworth. Hosted by former tennis player Annabel Croft, the series follows contestants as they navigate challenges while pursued by the mysterious Interceptor, played by actor Sean O'Kane. Despite critical and viewer acclaim, only eight episodes were produced before the show concluded with a New Year special in January 1990. Made by Chatsworth between Treasure Hunt and The Crystal Maze, Interceptor developed a devoted cult following that led to reruns on Challenge from 2001 onwards. In 2002, UKGameshows.com ranked it the 13th best British game show in a public vote, cementing its place in television history.
