Koinaka is a Japanese drama series following Aoi Miura, a reserved architect's assistant in Tokyo who dislikes summer. Born and raised in Toyama Prefecture, Aoi was once a standout swimmer in high school until life pulled him away from his hometown. When summer arrives, he unexpectedly reunites with Akari Serizawa, his childhood best friend and first love. Years ago, on a fireworks night during their final year of high school, Akari vanished without explanation. Now, as an adult, Akari has returned—but she's no longer alone. The reunion stirs buried memories and unresolved feelings, forcing Aoi to confront the past he thought he'd left behind. As old bonds resurface, both must navigate the complicated emotions between them and the secrets that separated them all those years ago.
